MESSY HALF BUN

Image
Hi guys!! Lately I have been having a mess around with my hair. I really dislike my hair. It's very thin and has zero volume to it. It's as flat as a nail head. So I have been trying to think of different ways to wear it. I also dislike having my fringe over my face due to how long its gotten. Luckily I'm getting it cut tomorrow!! So I was thinking of different ways I can make my hair appear thicker. I firstky tried back combing it but hated it as it made my hair super notty. I then decided to curl it with my curling wand which I loved. I curled my hair from root to tip. Once it was all curled which roughly took me five minutes, I lightly brushed it through with a paddle brush then, I tipped my head upside down and made it appear scruffy by running my fingers through it. I then grabbed half of my hair and placed it in a bun on top of my head, pulled it out a little bit and made that appear scruffier and tadaaaaaa. My hair looks slightly thicker. Due to curling it,...

FOUR QUICK AND EASY HAIR STYLES

Image
Hi guys!! As it's Wednesday, todays Blog is going to be beauty related. So I was wondering what to film and blog about today. At first I was going to show you all how I clean my make-up brushes but by the time I got round to filming they wouldn't of been dry in time for tomorrow. So I began to play around with my hair and then the idea popped into my head so, as you can tell my the name of this blog, I did four quick and easy hairstyles. You don't need to be expert as these as i certainly am not. Hair style one - Messy Pony Tail This is simple. Brush your hair through and then top your head upside down. Tie a bobble at the top of your head to create a high pony tail. Then pull at the hair to make it look messy. Hair style two: Half Up Pony Tail Tie half of your hair into a pony tail (the front half)  Then use your finger to make the front of it appear messy and undone. This is a good style to keep the fridge out of your eyes. Hair style three: The first s...

Interview Hair and Makeup

Image
Hi guys! This week i have an interview for a job i have applied for. I hate interviews as i get super nervous and anxious. I find it really hard trying to make sure that my anxiety is under control. My boyfriend came to the interview with me so i felt more comfortable on the journey there and also for support (obviously he didn't come in the room).  I wanted to share with you how i had my hair and makeup for the interview. It's important not to have dramatic makeup. The more natural you are the better. They won't like it if you turn up bright orange with eyelashes half hanging off. For my hair i literally brushed it through and shoved it into a high pony tail. It looked smart and appropriate. The photos were taken after wards so it looks a bit scruffy now. I also have to much baby hair!! When attending an interview i always try to make my self appear confident. I introduced my self and then told the interviewer(s) i was pleased to meet them. That way they wil...

Hairstyles :)

Image
So i am currently at college doing hair and media makeup level two. I have been practicing doing some hairstyle on my training head. People say oh that's easy anyone can do that but, no it's not that easy it takes a lot of time practicing styles and techniques:) This was relatively easy to create, two plaits nearish the side of the head and a rolled up bun at the back! It looks nicer at the back then at the side.  My attempt at a simple bridal look. We don't have any head peices but I think this would look nice with one or with a few twist in clips. This is simar to the first image but instead of plaits, it is braided at the side. The rolled up bun was done with a hair pad as the hair was long and thick, it makes it easier. This was my first attempt at wet set rollers. When doing rollers you can use your own imagination and come up with loads of different styles like high pony tails or back combing. A braided style going into a messy bun. Relatively easy. Thankyou for takin...
