WINTER GRWM

Image
Hi guys! Winter is fast approaching and you all know what that means, It's almost christmas!! I am super excited about christmas and winter time. Don't get me wrong Autumn is my favourite month but I absolutely adore winter to. There are many reasons why I love winter but that is for another blog post. Other wise I think it will take you days to read this, anyway. I filmed my winter hair and make-up over on my youtube channel and this was the finished result. Bright bold lips and gold eyes with a smokey crease. I had a huge fail and had to film the beginning of the video this morning as I forgot to film the beginning the other day...oppps. Besides that it all went to plan and I think this is one of the best make-up tutorials I have filmed over on my channel. Products I used: Smash box - Water Primer Stila - One Step Correct Primer Nars - All Day Luminous Foundation in Siberia Collection - Lasting Perfection Concelar in Fair 1 NYX - Contour and Highlight Palette ...

SEVENTEEN MEGA MATTE LIPSTICK

Image
Hi Guys! I have recently signed up to the seventeen blogger network. I love being a part of the network as it gives me so many tips and advice. They recently invited me to a blogger event however I sadly couldn't make it. They then went on to very kindly send me two Mega Matte Lipsticks. The colours they sent me are so pretty. If you didn't know, these lipstick have more or less just come out! They sent me 'Back To The Fuchsia' and also 'Violet Summer'. The names are super cool. I don't have a super bright purple or pink matte lipstick so I am certainily in love with these. I'm lipstick mad!!! I have tried them out and they look super cool on. The purple is the easiest to apply although you do need to add a couple of coats to get a good colour pay off. The pink, takes a bit of work to apply however, it is a beautiful colour. I absolutely adore them. The pink is matte through out whilst the purple one is matte however, has a purply, ...

MAKEU-UP FOREVER ARTIST-SHADOWS 1

Image
Hi guys! Recently my cousin came over to visit from Australia. She decided to bring us a few little gifts and nibbles over. I was lucky enough to of received this lovely palette even though i'd asked, if she was in Sephora could she please pick it up for me.  Any way. I had always fancied a make-up forever palette as I have heard nothing but good reviews from the brand. So for my first one, I received this gorgeous palette. It is the Make-up Forever Artist-1 Palette. The colours are absolutely stunning. All of the colours have a slight shimmer to them (some more than others). When I first tried it I was so over the moon. The pigment of the colours are great and I have found that the colours are very build-able. The colours don't have names, they have numbers. I have listen each colour in the swatch (the order is from left to right following the photo above the swatches). I'm sure going to be creating some super cool looks with this palette and I can't wait ...

REVIEW: NYX SOFT MATTE LIP CREME

Image
Hi guys! I'm not sure why but lately I have been absolutly loving matte liquid lipsticks. I still enjoy wearing glossier lipsticks however at the moment, my favourites are matte. I love the way they leave your lips looking. The only down side to matte liquid lipstick is that they can leave your lips feeling quiet dry and, can occasionally cause your lips to stick together. It doesn't bother me to much but I would prefer it if they didn't. Any way, I have a few favourites brands but today, I want to tell you about my all time favourite affordable brand which is NYX. They are call NYX Matte Lip Cream. I love how easy they are to apply and I am a huge fan of the applicator. I think I apply these better than I can apply most of my liquid lipsticks. The product just seems to glide on and, it doesn't look streaky in the slightest. I have also found that they last for quite a while. Not as well as the more expensive brands but they still last for a good while. I receiv...

HOW TO DEEP CLEAN MAKE-UP BRUSHES

Image
Hi guys Today I thought I would write a blog post about how I deep clean my makeup brushes. Seen as our make-up brushes work very hard, I thought it would be a good idea to thouroughly clean them. Cleaning them is important as our face harbours bacteria so when we applying foundation that bacteria is going onto the brush which we are then rubbing on our face!! Sounds pretty horrible saying it like that! So anyway, I like to clean my brushes at least once a week. It's one of those tasks I dread doing. I find it so boring and monotonous but, I know it has to be done.  I occasionally go longer without cleaning them but then it feels disgusting rubbing a dirty brush all over my face and I also  feel as though you don't get the application you desire. Well so I think. I clean my brushes by using one of two products (sometimes I use both). The first product I use is Johnson's Baby Shampoo and the other is the Real Techniques Brushing Cleansing Gel. ...

FESTIVAL MAKE-UP | GRWM ♡

Image
Hi guys! In a few months festival season will begin here in the UK. We have a lot of festivals that take place in the UK, from Glastonbury to V festival. Personally I have never been into festivals but, I love the make-up. It's outgoing and colourful. I have been playing around with my make-up and wondered how i could make my make-up appear festival like so, I came up with this idea. Natural eye make-up with a long wing and then blue under my water line. I love the way it turned out. I think i am slightly obsessed with it. I have blue eye and it makes them look a bit darker which doesn't bother me. When going to festivals you want something that will last a long time. So go for the water proofs. If you are really outgoing you could wear this look whenever. I think i'd be a bit to nervous... Any way, here is what i used to create the make-up look. What i used: Collection - Prime and Ready Urban Decay- Eye primer Ben Nye - Compact eyeshadow in Cork Ben N...

SOAP AND GLORY CLEANSING MILK | REVIEW

Image
Hi guys! For a very long time I have been using the Kaeso cleanser, toner and moisturise. We began to use them at college and I loved them. Using the three products together made my skin feel very soft and it made me feel relaxed. About a month ago my boyfriends mum bought me a soap and glory gift set. I don't often use a lot of soap and glory products but I am deffinatly going to start using them. In the gift set was a cleanser that claims to melt away make-up. The first time i tried using it I absolutely loved it!! I have been using it every day for about three weeks. The scent of the product is peachy. It literally smells edible. The main thing I like about the cleanser is that it makes your skin feel really clean and tingly/cold. It feels like it has done a good job.  My skin is fairly sensitive but this product works really well with my skin. It doesn't make it feel dry or tight. How i use it: I squirt one pump onto my hand and rub it all over my face. I then tak...

FIRE FAIRY ♡ SFX MAKE-UP

Image
Hi guys! I wanted to share with you this make-up look I created a few weeks ago in college.  For a pre observation our aim was to create what ever we wanted using a prosthetic piece. Me being me, loving fantasy, I created a fire fairy. I mainly decided on the fire fairy due to my friend having red hair. I couldn't really do a blue water fairy when she had red hair (unless I did ariel hmm..). So any way, back on topic.  To create the look I used red and gold glitter mixed with the illamasqua sealing gel. This ensured it would last and set in place. I also used two prosthetic ears. I applied them with spirit gum and made the lines invisible by using liquid latex. The rest was just normal make-up. Apart from red contour that is.  I hope you enjoyed this blog and I will chat with you all on Sunday!  Kayleighx

Top 5 High end Lipsticks | 2016 ♡

Image
Hi guys! I want to share with you my favourite high end lipsticks that i have been loving! They are from various brands and are kind of different colours. Some i received as gifts for christmas however i know i love them (obviously) and, i know i will love them for a long time. My first favourite is called Baci by Stila. This is a liquid lipstick and is a pinky nude. I bought this in  pack of three at christmas time and have recently been wearing this colour constantly. It has been my go to lipstick throughout February and march. It costs about £16.00 to buy it on it's own. It is super long lasting and matte. They applicator is incredible as if just molds with your lip shape.  Secondly i have been wearing the Too faced Melted lipstick in shade Peony. These cost £16.00 and are fabulous!  They glide on so easily and it's a really nice pink. It's not bright either and really compliments my skin tone. Urban Decay Revolution li...

NATURAL DAY TIME MAKE-UP ♡

Image
Hi guys!! It's Wednesday so that means it's blog day. I know i have been slacking these past few weeks with blogs as i am coming towards the end of my college diploma so, i am working my butt off to gain distinctions. I only have two finals left now YAY.   Early on today I was playing around with my make-up so decided to film a chit chat get ready with me. As i haven't filmed one of these in a while. I aimed to go for a natural look and a winged eye. I really like how the look turned out but, you can't see the colour pay off really. I used mainly drug store make-up however i used high end for contouring and highlighting. I still need to get my hands on the NYX contour palette, It looks so good.  What i used and where you can get them from: Smash box Photo Finish Primer Water L'Oreal Paris Lumi Magique Primer Sellotape. This can be purchased from any supermarket or corner shop. Chichi cosmetics Naturals Eyeshadow Palette Rimmel Glam Eyes Liquid E...

Interview Hair and Makeup

Image
Hi guys! This week i have an interview for a job i have applied for. I hate interviews as i get super nervous and anxious. I find it really hard trying to make sure that my anxiety is under control. My boyfriend came to the interview with me so i felt more comfortable on the journey there and also for support (obviously he didn't come in the room).  I wanted to share with you how i had my hair and makeup for the interview. It's important not to have dramatic makeup. The more natural you are the better. They won't like it if you turn up bright orange with eyelashes half hanging off. For my hair i literally brushed it through and shoved it into a high pony tail. It looked smart and appropriate. The photos were taken after wards so it looks a bit scruffy now. I also have to much baby hair!! When attending an interview i always try to make my self appear confident. I introduced my self and then told the interviewer(s) i was pleased to meet them. That way they wil...

Make-up Revolution | Awesome Metals

Image
Hi guys! In december i purchased three of the makeup revolution awesome metals eye shadow foils. I had heard that they are a dupe for the Stila Magnificent Foils eyeshadow which are so expensive. The Stila foils are priced at £33.50 here in the uk which is a crazy amount of money to pay however, i would love to try them.  I picked up these make-up revolution eyeshadows for £2.00 each!! Considering how cheap they were i decided to purchase three of them. When trying them i thought i bet they aren't as good as everyone says they are but, i discovered they are brilliant. They give a beautiful colour pay off. I purchased shade Pure Platinum, Black Diamond and Emerald goddess.  They didn't have the rose gold shade in store which i am upset about because i LOVE rose gold :( I recently created a look using the Emerald goddess eyeshadow but you can't see the colour pay off due to the lighting.  When wearing Emerald goddess i received so many compliments on ...

Top 5 Drug Store Lipsticks | 2016 ♡

Image
Hi guys! It's me again back with yet another top 5. This time i am going to show you my top five drug store lipsticks, most of which i have loved for ages.  If any of you know me, you will know my favourite thing about make-up is lipstick. It just transforms any look. I feel as though i have a wide variety of different shades and brands so i thought i would show you some of the cheeper ones i like to wear. Some of the lipsticks look a bit old and worn away because i have had them for a while... Firstly i love and always will love the Rimmel London Matte lipstick in shade 107. I found this shade through watching Zoe Sugg (zoella). She is a similar skin tone to me and when i saw it i thought geeez i need it! I had found it pretty hard to find a deep plumpish red to suit my skin tone without it looking strange, and when swatching it in store i knew right then it would look good. This is the kind of colour i would begin to wear in novmeber and then stop wearing around the ...
