Lush obsession!

Image
Hi guys! Not to long ago I went into lush. I initially went to pick up one bath bomb but, seen as they have the whole Christmas collection I got super excited. I have now decided that when you got into lush it's a crime to not buy at least one exclusive (joking really). Especially when they are Christmas related!  I only became aware of lush earlier this year so I don't know what they had in there collection last year. I have been so thrilled with this collection and can't wait for all of the others. Favourite Christmas products: Peeping Santa  Golden wonder(present), candy mountain, the magic of Christmas(cinnamon stick for handle), magic wand (pink wand) and snow angel Fun: Santa. I bought this one in Australia and much prefer the packaging over there! Shower gel: Snow Fairy. I love the smell of this. It smells delicious. I can only describe it like candy floss. All of these products smell amazing! They also add a shimmer to the bath which any glitter love will adore! ...

Christmas cards!

Image
Hi guys! It's now that time of year where we begin to buy all the presents for those who are near and dear! Yesterday I went into the city centre and picked up some lovely Christmas cards for family. My tips for finding the best cards are to make sure they say something meaningful for both you and the person you are giving it to. I also like to make sure it has a beautiful picutre as that's what's going to be on the mantle piece for the next month:D I chose this for my boyfriend as it looks like it simbalises us! The words inside it are cute aswell and will mean a lot to him.  I am now going to start writing my cards for family and then loads more for friends and neighbours. Its always nice to spread a little festive chear around!  Merry early Christmas all!!!

Bonfire night fireworks!

Hi guys! On Friday I arrived home after a 22 hour flight from Australia. We arrived home at 7am and knew we couldn't sleep till later on. It was very difficult as we hadn't slept for hours!! Anyway when we got home we found out my Nanna had bought us fireworks for the Saturday  We missed halloween which is my favourite holiday so nanna said it only seemed right that we do bonfire night propperly.  On Saturday my nana and grandad came round with a big bowl of potato hash to warm u sup whilst watching the firework. We all sat down and enjoyed that along with our toffe apple before going into the back garden to light the fireworks.  My boyfriend Tony took over lighting the fireworks because he loves seeing them off. We had a huge box of sparkly fireworks and ones that explode on the ground and we had  huge 72shot box which exploded with colour in the sky. I love the but i don't like the noise. ...

Long haul travel tips

Hi guys so since I have just come back from my holiday I thought I would share some long haul travel tips with you!  Sleeping on a plane can be difficult so make sure you pack enough things to keep you entertained through the flight. Tip one: make sure you pack warm comfy socks! I packed my bed socks because they are so cosey. My feet often get cold whilst flying so these made sure my feet stayed extra warm! Tip two: pack a puzzle book, reading book and a pen (or two). I always being these with me. Even if I don't do a puzzle I always know it's there just in case. Tip three: wear extremely comfy clothes. You don't want to wear super uncomfortable clothes the whole way!! Tip four: if you are transitting in a note country or if you are going to a hot country, take shorts! We stopped in Singapore so brought shorts. If we didn't we would have melted it was crazy humid!!! Tip five: try to pack light. You don't want to carry around a huge weight. And finally tip six: brin...

Making a jelly brain

Image
Hi guys. Me and tony went into a supermarket called Asda the other day. When looking through he Halloween section we came across a brain mold so we decided to make a jelly brain!!  We used two packets of jelly cubes, the mold and fresh strawberries.  Firstly we add in one packets of jelly and 265ml of boiling water. We then decided to add the other packet of jelly so added in another 265ml of boiling hot water We then stored the jelly cubes till they had gone to nothing. We then poured the jelly into the mould and put it in the fridge to begin to set. After 4 hours when the jelly had half set we cut up the strawberries into quarters We then pushed each bit of strawberry into the jelly. Make sure you don't push it all the way to bottom as this will alter the shape of the brain.  It should look something similar to this when the strawberries are in. Not all have to be used. This is very messy but fun!!  We let the jelly set over night and through most of the day. We on...

Halloween pies!

Image
Hi guys! So seen as Halloween is right around the corner I wanted to try and Cook some Halloween inspired pies. I decided to make savoury pies as I always make sweet ones. I found it easy to make these and it didn't take to long!! I hope these inspire you to make your own Halloween themed foood!!  Preheat the oven to 160°c  To make the filling I used: Diced beef, carrots(x3), a potato, an onion, oxo cube, a table spoon of kethup and brown sauce, salt, pepper   To make the pastry I used: 225g flour, 1 egg and 115g of butter.  Filling Firstly I put the beef into a bowl and mixed a table spoon of flour and a tiny bit of salt and pepper. The flour is optional. I then diced the carrot, potato and onion(which isn't in the picture because our eyes were stinging!!!!!) Add sunflower oil (or any oil) to the pan. Fry the onion until it's soft. Put some oil in a seperate pan and cook the beef untill brown. Add the potato and carrot to the onion and fry until cooked. I also ...

Brothers 21st Birthday | Buffet | cakes | sparklers!!

Image
Hi guys!! So this weekend we celebrated  my brother(Tom) turning 21.  My brother is very much like me. Neither of us will have a huge party or want hundreds of friends around. We prefer just having family members. So we decided to  put together a family buffet. We bought hellium balloons, buntings and banners to decorate the inside and outside of the house. Tom decided on the food for the buffet as it was his birthday. So it mainly consisted of pies and more pies!! We also had food which we knew our grandparents would enjoy to:) My mum bought him a suprise cake from our local cake making place (I don't know what they are actually called)  The number two was made out of traditional vanilla sponge cake. Whilst the number one was made out of chocolate cake. I thought it would be a good idea to have things he loved put into the icing. So we had beats headphones, football, dominos pizza and Japan put into the cake with icing. It was so amazing and tasty!!  The candle...
